Bristol Sheltered Accommodation & Support offers relief from poverty, hardship and distress among homeless refugees by providing temporary residential accommodation to those in need. Sheltered and Social Housing premises, by their very nature, often experience anti-social and nuisance behaviour. Sally Zamparelli, who runs the hostel, said they chose to have CCTV installed as “it’s necessary for the type of business we run. We decided that it would help to prevent things before they happen.”
To help residents feel safe and more secure we recommended an unobtrusive CCTV system consisting of a combination of high resolution internal minidome cameras and true day/night infrared external bullet cameras. As a result, the system offers both residents and the local community an enhanced sense of security and the management are “extremely pleased, as the occurrences of anti-social behaviour in the home have decreased and the home has taken a relaxed feel with residents knowing that they can more or less leave their doors open and know it is safe”.
Sally also reports that the CCTV aids the local Police who are very impressed with the system. “If they require footage that can verify a resident’s movements and whereabouts, we can provide high class images very simply”.
At I-HT we pride ourselves on offering a complete service for all our customers from advice and demonstration of CCTV equipment, through to installation and after sales support and maintenance. Sally is pleased to say “the installation was very easy and the engineers were very professional. There have been a few occasions when we’ve required technical help and the service we received when we’ve needed it was very good and very helpful.”
Bristol Sheltered Accommodation now benefits from increased security and the peace of mind that their CCTV system is fully supported.
