The I-HT Team are to be highly recommended, they have been so thorough and keen to offer a professional service.
The wonderful village of Bures, situated on the Suffolk Essex border, is approximately five miles South of Sudbury and ten miles north of Colchester. The village has a railway station connecting to the mainline London to Norwich service, via Marks Tey. There are two public houses, a primary school, a Baptist Church and St Mary’s Parish Church.
The village has fantastic amenities that consist of a large children’s play area including apparatus, fitness/gymnasium equipment, football club, cricket club and a picturesque area set up for BBQ’s on the banks of the river Stour.
The Requirement
Over the recent years, the Parish Council had noticed an increase in anti-social behaviour with a small number of individuals that congregate at the far end of the sportsground and along the banks of the river Stour.
The Parish Council had also been informed that there had been reports of vandalism to some of the buildings that belongs to the parish council and the Bures Sportsground committee and including the community centre.
The Solution
After our survey and assessment, we ascertained the areas that needed to be monitored and the cameras that would provide the parish council with the best solution.
A total of 5 cameras were proposed to monitor these areas that were of concern. Four fixed cameras are positioned around the community centre monitoring the centre itself, the car park and the adjoining Bures football club.
A 25 x zoom Pan Tilt & Zoom camera is positioned at the far end of the cricket club pavilion to monitor the full area along the riverside. The home position was set to monitor the riverside and area near to the bridge when there is no activity or movement with the camera for 5 minutes.
This camera allows the operative of the system to track and follow whilst clearly identifying any individuals that may be causing a nuisance.
The Clerk to the Bures sports ground committee recently stated ‘from the first initial visit the I-HT representative was very good, we all found Lee to be extremely knowledgeable and came to the community centre one evening and gave the committee an excellent presentation of the system’.
Jenny also very kindly stated ‘The I-HT Team are to be highly recommended, they have been so thorough and keen to offer a professional service’.
