We installed three ultra HD turret cameras on the front, rear and side of the property, close to the fascias, with every cable routed straight into the loft. The couple planned to watch the system only on their phones and tablet, so we put the network recorder in the loft too.

That raised a problem. The broadband router sat in the living room on the other side of the house. We solved it with a pair of powerline adapters: one plugged into a loft socket on the house’s ring main and one next to the router. No new cable runs, nothing visible.
